He claims it's technically a 641 because it has a 4-speed transmission, but it says 601 on the front. WebDec 19, 2013 · The repair for this problem involves one of the following procedures: 1) Replace the hydraulic tubes that run through the transmission. Requires splitting tractor. 2) Install smaller diameter hydraulic tubes inside the existing tubes that run through the transmission. Does not require splitting tractor.

The 661 will have the 5-speed tranny with live pto - the best! 651 will be 5 speed, but no live pto. 641 will be the 4 speed, no live pto. There could have been other middle digits, but 661 would be worth extra to most. 621 or 631 would have been made without 3pt or pto perhaps.
