The calipers are off a 1990 Chevy Celebrity, and rotors are rears for a 91-92' Lincoln Continental Mk 7. The kit come with a list of all the needed parts, which are are easily obtainable stuff. WebAug 18, 2024 · I just installed the Scarebird brake system on my 1949 Super Six. I already have the Faust setup on my 1948 Commodore. The only problem I had was finding the recommended left caliper for a 1990 Chevy Celebrity. The calipers fit better on the Scarebird as it wasn't necessary to grind the top of the calipers down in order for the wheel to fit.

WebJun 8, 2024 · The hubs that come with the ScareBird kit have very large centers. The common size of the center hole in wheel spacers seems to be 68mm. The hubs center size are 73mm. You can see in the pics that I centered the spacer on the inside of the wheel and tacked them with some upholstery spray adhesive to hold them in place until mounted. WebAug 19, 2014 · A drop of Locktite is recommended on the jam nut. 5. Check rotor: should be 10” in diameter and 2” tall. Drill out wheel stud holes with pattern supplied. Cut out pattern with scissors, then spray with light oil or WD-40 and lay on rotor. Lightly punch for holes, then remove and punch harder. Drill out holes ½” diameter.
WebMay 29, 2024 · Scarebird is supplying bearings. What are the numbers? The old GXY brackets used Ford rotors that incorporated our original Thunderbird bearings, races, grease seals and dust caps. I don't like the $410 price AT ALL. Scarebird offers a tidy discount for H.A.M.B. members. I like that the Scarebird brackets are one-piece, as were the old style.
